Reena Esmail - Terra infirma  24-96

Indian-American composer Reena Esmail and American harpist Yolanda Kondonassis share artistic and ecological passions, which are explored on this vibrant recording. Both have devoted themselves to the creation of new music, and both are proactive about climate changes that are having striking, even calamitous effects on our planet. The three Esmail works receiving their premiere recordings here by Kondonassis and colleagues from the Interlochen Center for the Arts, which the harpist attended as a young musician, give eloquent voice to matters pertaining to the natural world and beyond.
